So my band just finished recording our first EP (I'm playing bass) and I was wondering if I could get some general feedback. Some constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

We've only released 2 tracks, but the entire EP will be released soon, here is the link Damascus

I'd also love to hear about any up and coming instrumental bands in my area (NJ, NY, PA) that people know about. We are totally new to the scene and would love to find out what's goin on.

All the best,
TBM

Thanx for sharing, nicely done. I really like the false ending and coda section on Equinox.

I thought it was great. Only criticism would be that the guitar seems a little too loud{drowning out the bass/drums}, other than that I give it a 10/10.

Dude, good stuff!! It's tasteful and melodic and has a very cinematic flow to it. You have some very well thought out counterpoint melodies to the guitar parts...cutting out your own swath without bringing attention to yourself. In the end, that's what composition is all about. A very strong debut...MAJOR kudos to you, sir!

Thank you so much for checking us out, and giving the music a thoughtful listen! We try to do our best to keep the music involved, balanced, and interesting throughout the entire EP.

And before I forget, thanks fleabee and bassbrad for the bumps, really appreciate it

Great music. Just listened to all the songs on your bandcamp. Really enjoyed the EP, you selling any CDs?. Whatd you use to record the bass?

I cant say i know the instrumental scene in NY/NJ. But my band being progressive Death metal, i can say its tough for original bands, especially for less mainstream/complex music.

That being said, your music is really great, cant stress enough how much i enjoyed it. Feel free to send me a PM, perhaps we can help each-other out in the shows department. Were trying to put together some shows in NJ around June.

Thank you so very much for giving our music a chance, totally appreciate it. I'm glad you dig our sound I will most definitely PM you.

As of right now we are not selling CDs but we're hoping to sometime soon.

The bass tracks were recorded with my MIM J bass that has the Dimarzio ultra jazz set installed, as well as a Badass II. The audio is a blend between my amp (Markbass 2x10 combo) and DI from a Sansamp bass driver.
