that's probably the only time I've seen slap bass in the same piece as nylon-string guitar....
agreed...Abe is a fantastic bassist....
as far as open-hand slapping technique goes....haven't some of you seen this before?
I actually discovered it on my own a few years back,,,I was trying to get a particularly "deep-yet-percussive" sound from my carvin AC40 bass (only bass I had with me at the time)...
the only way I could get something close was to slap it like it was a used-car-salesman just in front of the bridge. |
