Obscure songs that shouldn't be obscure.

There are lots of em, but I just remembered this one from a post in another thread:

Lou Reed - Woman. One of my favorite lyrics , and one of my fretless basslines also ‪Lou Reed - Women (1982)‬‏ - YouTube

And another of my all time favorite fretless songs. I think it's Michelle D(who's name I can't spell) on bass.

Citizen Cope - If There's Love. ‪Citizen Cope - If there is love‬‏ - YouTube

Heaven & Hell by The Who has been one of my absolute favorite songs of theirs since I first got the remastered Live at Leeds in 1995. The bass, the raging guitar, and especially the out of control drumming make it one of the greatest songs for the early morning drive to work. Oddly, their studio version sucked really badly, but I still love getting a "new" Who show and checking out H&H. Opening with that should blow the audience completely away.

I would have to say Pink Floyd's unknown song.

One of my favorite Robin Trower tunes from Bridge of Sighs, Lady Love.

No one in my group of friends ever heard any Big Star, so I will say Ballad of El Goodo or Thirteen.

I agree with you on that, although I like the studio version too. Entwistle's solo version is great too.

That's one of the first songs I ever learned when I used to play guitar. Love that album.

"She Sheila" - The Producers - great early 80's power pop! I've always been a hard rock guy but that's an awesome tune.

My first thought. The Producers were a fantastic band.
(I saw them in Nashville June 2008, they still bring it)

Not sure how obscure but these two from a famous pop group are but they deserved to be singles in their own right
