Essenes of 12 bar blues with E mixolydian mode.

What do you guys think have I finally entered the realm of the bass player finally?

BTW it's even a clean clip and it's 90 beats per minut you can even set a metronome to it.

I wouldn't say you "nailed" it... The timing and the note consistancy seem to slip a few times. It feels like you jump the beat at the beginning of certain phrases, and then the tempo drifts from time to time.

Consider programming a drum track and playing along with it, it will probably help.

If you are just entering the bass realm, not bad.

Well stick with it... it's awesome you are using a metronome, a valuable tool sadly many bassists don't use because they don't like "that annoying click sound."

Keep it up, you'll be keepin' up with Tommy Shannon in no time.

you need to lock to a drummer and rest of the band not a click in live settings. Though the metronome is used in the studio, it's really a "training" tool, not a live thing.

your timig is improving, but where i kept hearing slipups were at the "chord changes" or "phrases" like till said...keep practicing the line and you'll do much better...what i was hearing in your playing was what sounded like a "lack of confidence" or a second guessing of your playing...if you keep practicing those lines, you will gain confidence, and you will be the next duck dunn
also, you are a fan of the blues, and thats good for you. pro blues bassists are in general really are able to lock in, so listen to some of the classics, like Clapton, King, King and King (that is BB, Albert and freddie) and really listen and try to find the groove, where the bass and drum really lock up perfectly, and try to get that with your playing with your drum machine and metronome

What Charlie said. Your timing is still really off, particularly when changing chords, but it's definitely improving. You should take the advice I gave in one of your other threads- make a recording of you playing a single note to the beat of your metronome. Make sure the metronome can be heard on the recording as well. It'll really show you the accuracy you need to hit each note at the right time.
