The Sonic 2 chemical plant zone was awesome. This is pretty neat idea.

It's pretty awesome. There's a sweet piano solo in that first track!

The Super Mario World one is great. Very jazzy.

BIG BLUE!

Awesome.

I'm reminded once again of why I love the soundtracks to all of the F-Zero games.

Cool project overall!

It really gives you a new appreciation for how amazing some of the music in these old video games was. Bramble Blast was my favorite.

I haven't checked out the songs yet, I'll get to that!

buuuuut,

If you guys like this kind of stuff, you might want to check out video games live. I saw them a few weeks ago and it was one of the most impressive shows I have ever seen. Not to mention, the music was absolutely fantastic.

when blaine showed me all this video game remix stuff years ago i was bugged out that people were into it. i thought it was pretty funny. but, its a pretty cool idea. his idea was this to have it all recorded by people that were up there in terms of musicianship. i think he managed to do that and it came out pretty dope because of it. i had a good time recording on the tracks i did.

both blaine on keys and chaun on drums are 2 of the best players ive had the pleasure of making music with. just wanted to share his project

This is probably the single most awesome thing to come out of video game music. It's nice to see that there are serious musicians who can appreciate good music when they hear it... even if it happens to be 8-bit.

EDIT: Oh, and i WILL be the first to buy the album!
