"One After 909" (Beatles) bass demonstration

Sign in to disble this ad
This early Beatles tune was revived during the “Get Back” sessions. This demonstration is not meant to imitate Sir Paul in anyway and it taken from the “Naked” album. I selected the tune because it's so classic in progression and form. I want my collegues to not only see, but hear my actual playing with the tune well under in volume.

Using headphones is a very good idea in order to get closer to the true bass sound.

really good! I watched 5 or 6 of your vids and was quite impressed! The Abby Road vid was particularly interesting as that is one of my absolute favorite basslines.

Sorry,

I finally found out that the video froze about three stations down the track. I reposted it. Give it another try!

Very COOL So Low! You make my rendition of "Won't Get Fooled..."
pale in comparison! Before YouTube came along, I thought I was a Bass Guitarist! I guess that's why I only play for fun anymore, but hey, isn't that why we play?

Bach once walked 500 miles round trip across 17th century Germany just to hear his colleague Buxtehude play the organ. Today we have youtube. We can take a lesson from McCartney, Bruce, or Entwhistle whenever we wish. We can become influenced and try to copy what they created, but there’s no escaping the fact that: They created it!
What a world! And thanks for the encouragement.

Great work, Paul. Thank you!
I was very impressed how you were able to make it your own while keeping it with the original flavor. The Abbey Road medley was especially nice, and thanks for the history.
