Anyone here ever hear of Pavor? Evidently they're a technical metal band out of Germany, and the reviews of them have been they make Vai, Digiorgio, and Hoglan look like a bunch of garage musicians. From the little I've heard, they're not Zero Hour, but it's great technical death metal for the fans of the genre. Anyways, just throwing it out if anyone wants to check them out.

They have a myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/pavor

Should have specified that I didn't think Pavor was a new "best", just another good band to check out persay. I wouldn't quite put it on a technical level with Necrophagist either, but not to discredit the subject band at all.

I used to love death metal, but now I find the style of singing to be just juvinile.(cheesy)but I still love the amazing musicianship!

It's funny, even Chuck Schuldiner from Death said he hated that vocal style in the mid/later years.

I actually like the way Chuck sang. I think he put a lot of emotion into it. I also like the vocals from Last One On Earth by Asphyx. A lot of other bands do make it cheesy these days and that gives death metal its negative stereotype. Well, one of them.
