im planning on doing a oneman project and i was wondering if anyone can suggest a good free drum program i can use?  |

You can load your own drumsamples into it, so in theory you could get it to sound however you like, but somehow that feature never worked for me. It might for you though.
You could always learn beatboxing.

If so, sample up some sounds you like, and map out drum beats that way, or assign the samples, and do your beats on a key-controller. That's the way I used to do it, before I found DKFH & a cheap trigger finger...

Still, I've found a few good kits. If you can, get a drummer to record drum sounds for you, because that's how you'll get the sounds you want. Just don't tell him what you're using them for, because most drummers hate drum machines with a passion.
