Naw, thats fine. But, as a matter of taste, I Keep It Simple in the first bars of a song.

Does he mind the same at 1:57?

What I would have done differently, as a matter of taste, is to accent the shift of emphasis by going to higher notes. Really sticking it out there.

But I dig the bassline, and tune, just the way it is.

Peace.

"Dig" is a slang term here. It means he likes the bassline.

Are you talking about "I know you knew"?

Because that's a great groove and bassline. Great all around song.

I'd tell your guitar player to STFU. (Another American slang term)

Sounds like you've picked up a trick or two from Geddy Lee What's not to like about that?

I like it all. Nicely spacious bass line with, with some subtle variations as the song progresses and a great tone. I love the 6/4 4/4 time signature changes - made me think while I was listening to it, but it didn't sound contrived like some songs with peculiar time signature changes.

Sorry about MY english , brother.

To DIG something is to really like it and understand it.

IF someone asks , You dig? It usually means only " do you understand " , and not " do you understand and like it".

Please be kind to tell the guitar man to stick to his job, and let the professional play bass. Please also be kind to suggest to guitar man he may try to "dig" it, and learn something about the GROOVE! But, be kind in your words. Please do NOT use the American slang STFU. ( no F words! )

Peace. Out.

Your doing fine ... i like when the bass line deviates from the form a bit. Makes the music more interesting, show your guitarist our opinions. What does he suggest you do???

Psst! Hey kid,

Over here.....

You're guitar player is an idiot!

But seriously, that is a great tune. The guitar is plenty loud, the band is hitting on all cylinders. Try not to overthink the thing. Enjoy the accomplishment. Spend less time worrying about how to make that song better and put some effort into doing another song just as good.

IMO.
