Opinions on my band's first home recording

Hey all,

There seems to be many people on this site who have good experience recording music so I figured I would solicite feedback and constructive critisism on my band's first recording, in the hopes of making it even better.

Background: We are a 5-piece rock/hard rock band. The drums and guitars were recorded at our practice space on the guitar players Korg D3200 digital multi-track. Everything was then imported into my own ProTools LE 7.4 setup where bass, keys, and vocals were added. All plugins and mixing was done on the ProTools setup and a T-Racks Mastering plugin was added to the final master track.

Bass: Sadowsky NYC 24F5 through a SansAmp BDDI (for those who are curious)

The song can be found on our myspace page (the only song currently posted ):

Thanks for the suggestions in advance.

Later
Rob

It has that "HIM" aesthetic, which is very tasteful to me

Very nice.

Only thing I could personally tweak would be vocals just a bit hot most of the time, but that's personal taste. Just a slight tweak. Possibly could use a bit of something on the vocals to sweeten them up a bit, but not sure what you guys are shooting for.

I liked it. Very nice bass sound as far as I'm concerned. And it's actually present in the mix. Kudos.

Nice bass, could be a little lower in the mix.

Not sure about the singer-seems so so-a little off key or it's his vibrato-which is a little annoying to me-seems to have a limited range and needs to belt it out in places.

I would loose the first part of the guitar solo and just keep the climbing part.

I think you guys need to nail these vocals first because that's all people focus on and the vocals are weak to me.
