Opinons on Live Bass Tone

Sign in to disble this ad
OK, so me and the band were jamming a couple of new tracks out (really really early stages of them, please don't judge our playing on them!) and I was wondering how the bass community viewed my bass tone in a live setting.

Essentially this is how I EQ myself live as well, but short of actually being in the audience, I can't really tell how it sounds.

Now, the vocals and drums were un-miced (2 room mics + 1 each for bass and guitar), and these are just two 5 minute snippets of our 5 hour jam session, so levels shouldn't really come into it. But in general, what is the opinion on the actual tone of the bass.

On a side note, does anyone have any ideas for the tracks, just because I would be grateful for any input (on bass, drums guitar or vocals!)

Cheers guys

*EDIT* - Oh god, just read the thread title - this is why you don't post after going to the pub with the band after practice! Should read OPINIONS!

Love your tone! At first I thought it needed a bit more definition but I realized the track is overall a bit muddy due to the recording.

Second track sounds a lot like RATM, great growly heavy tone.
