For anyone interested, I have the original bass tracks played by James Jamerson and others, soloed from the original Motown multitracks, on my site. Hear every note these Motown masters played ! http://www.ricksuchow.com/press.html |

On "What's Going On", he sure had me fooled into thinking more notes were actually being played!
And wow, listening to Wilton Felder soloed, his technique isn't quite as tight as it appeared to be although still a fantastic bassline.
Damn good stuff! An invaluable resource for those seeking the 'answer' to some of Jamerson's classics! |

Do you take requests?
I've been transcribing "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green. I've got a lot of it, but the bass is kind of far down in the mix in places. It would be great to hear that one.
Thanks again. |

I have to download them before someone changes their mind.
This is an incredible set of gems.

| | | | I agree with DWBass. I thought Jamerson was playing way more notes on "What's Goin' On", might have made learning it easier if I could have heard that soloed track. |
