Well, my band is very much a metal band, but as fans of old melancholic Irish folk, we decided to include a fully acoustic folk number on our latest album. The majority of the feedback we have received has been from people who like metal who have got the album, so I wanted to get some from the wider world. On this track, the bass is very much a supporting instrument which comes in later in the track, its very vocal based, starting off fully acapella, so I placed more focus on my vocal harmonies than showing off bass chops.
