Smile Overdoing it? What does it sound like?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, I'd appreciate it if some of youse guys could check out the two tunes on my myspace page and tell me if you think I'm "overplaying" the bass parts. I tend to think not, but would love some other opinions.

I'd also love it if you could tell me what you think it sounds like, as I'm not too sure how to describe my stuff. Sure, rock, but does it sound like anyone vaguely/in particular?

(Note, AdBlockPro and Flashblock seem to be having "issues" with Firefox 3 and the MySpace player; you might need to reload the page if it doesn't show.)

Many thanks for your time!

i just listened to your myspace tunes... IMHO you are playing the role of a bassist... I cant hear any frivolous notes... Your songs sound good... Love that you have a song in 11/8

You aren't overplaying at all, that's called solid playing.

Thanks very much guys! Can I use ya'll as a reference?

Hmmm, I guess it IS 11/8. When I programmed the drums, it was 5/8 and 6/8 alternating. 'Twas a bit easier to find "1" that way.
