I had the privilege of working with Utah band My Fair Fiend earlier this year; their debut album was just released. It's not often that I get to record in a really pro studio (this being Annex Studios in Draper, UT) and I was so happy with the bass tones that I thought I would share with a room full of folks who understand my passion. http://myfairfiend.bandcamp.com/
I used an original 1962 Fender Precision on all tracks except for "Murder a Dream" (upright), "Crystal Eyes", "Rending Gowns" and "Half Life" (G&L L2500 fretless), and "Raindrops" (Fender Custom Shop 1964 Jazz bass). Also, the weird screechy sound in the middle of "Half Life" was made by bowing my upright played through a lot of noisy effects.
I welcome any feedback on my playing, production, etc., The singer and songwriter of the group, Callie Moore, happens to be my little sister as well, and I'm pretty proud of the opus she has created. Enjoy!
