Anyone listen to these guys? Some seriously incredible song (and album) writing. Daniel Gildenlow is IMO the best vocalist in the world. And of course extremely tasty bass from Kristoffer. He sure knows how to use a low B string. I suggest everyone who appreciates prog metal find a copy of The Perfect Element.

You can't really sum them up in a song, pretty much every one is a whole different journey (and genre), but heres some good clips from their live DVD.

One of my favorite progressive metal bands. I haven't picked up Scarsick yet, but I love every one of their previous albums. And yes, Daniel Gildenlow is an amazing vocalist! (too bad Kristofer is no longer their bassist. I'm not sure who replaced him)

I bought one of their CD's and I was unaware they were a Christian prog Band. I think that's fine & all, but some of their lyrics come off religiously heavy handed-just my opinion. I liked some of the songs, but could not keep listening to it because of that.

Translantic was a better example how one can still be on target with your beliefs without being heavy handed.

Kings X gets too close as well sometimes.

It's just my opinion.

I'd be curious which album you picked up. They are, to my best estimation, not a Christian band. There are some tongue-in-cheek lyrics on Scarsick if that's the album you picked up.

Hmm, wrong band. Pretty sure Daniel is an atheist.

Yeah, I do not think they are a christian based band at all. I'm guessing you picked up "Be" which is a concept album basically exploring the notion of a god and religion in general. All of their works are concept albums and deal with different things including war, nuclear polution, lost love, etc.
