This is MIke Pattons newest project. The album (self titled) is out on the 30th. The whole album is available to listen on myspace...

They performed on Conan last night, heres the performance on youtube...

I'm listening to the cd now, and I quite like it. Definitely something worth checking out and is very different. I haven't listened to all of the many works of Patton, but I'd say from what I have listend to of his (Mr. Bungle and FNM). Is it's only slightly comparable. I'd say you can get kind of compare it to Bungles last cd California, and maybe some to Bungles first cd lyric wise on some tracks.

Either way its a very well written and sounding album. Patton has done it yet again.

A+

I like 4 or 5 songs, I hate the rapping, but everything else is interesting. Weird, I never thought I would like a "hip hop" album.

Pretty sweet, I like to see Patton attempt "commercial" music... because it's like poppy, but really weird too. Perhaps my favorite band of his since Mr. Bungle/Faith No More.

I'm not much for Peeping Tom. Patton is doing his best post FNM/Bungle work with Fantomas. Tomahawk is ok. But Fantomas is where it's at.

Kinda off topic but anyone know if Terry Bozzio will be replacing Lombardo on the next Fantomas album? I noticed he's been playing live with them.

yea, this album rulz. It gets the usuasl Mike PAtton stamp of quality from me. Its weird to hear him sing with Norah Jones, but a very cool song. Very different for her anyways.

Thanks for the link. As always Mike Patton cannot do any wrong with me. I've liked every single band he's been in and here's yet another one.

indeed, mang. all she would have to do is WHISPER and i'd turn to melted butter.

but that album (and everything else i've heard mike patton on) is genius.

by the way, check out Elysian Fields if you're into jennifer charles.

but she is almost TOO sexy on lovage. especially in 'Strangers on a Train' and 'Stroker Ace'.... and pretty much everything else... it's really HARD to NAIL down the sexiest track on that disc......

Oh I know about Elysian Fields! James Genus on bass, too; so there's a bonus.

I don't know if the song title is right (my Lovage is like a 2nd or 3rd generation copy-no info other than "Lovage" ), but "To Catch A Thief." Damn! Melted butter indeed! Kind of reminds me of Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, only better. Way better.

I thought that attitude to be silly, so can't help but wonder if it's true or at least true in this case.
Not entirely sure , but from what i've seen on the Youtube videos of them live he has a HUGE! kit.

You've obviously never seen the kit Dave Lombardo brings on Fantomas dates.

YOU'VE obviously never seen The Boz's kit! I've seen Dave's kit... it's pretty big... but Terry's kit takes up a stage and a half.

I think Terry's drum tech dubed it the SS Bozzio.
