i've got a new project with a couple songs up at http://myspace.com/fsaadd

feel free to cut loose with the opinions, just keep in mind that these are all at the sketch stage still, so stuff like "travelling to a wedding" taking forever to get to the point and "time to talk"'s out-of-tuneness will be fixed in the final recordings.

bonus points to anyone who recognizes the "totalitarian vegetables" reference

i'll bite

listened to 3 of the tunes. here's my opinion, as a lover of strong pop songs:

your tone and playing are good, but the songs all suffer from the 'solo over a looped riff' structure. they are harmonically and dynamically static, so my ear looses interest pretty quickly.

they don't sound bad, but they don't really go anywhere. It would be nice to hear a more defined verse-chorus or AABA stucture.

Just my humble opinion. Keep at it!

Reminds me of Mike Watt. I like it. It would sound great with drums.
