Percy Jones Solo Discs: "Cape Catastrophe" and "Propeller Music"

Anyone here familiar with these 2 Percy jones solo outings?

I just got them both from emusic.com recently. Cape Catastrophe for me is the stronger of the 2 in a lot of ways. Compositionally it was the most consistent, and I was majorly blown away by how much variety Percy was able to coax out of a relatively inexpensive one-man-band setup (and of course that panther-like grrrrrooowwwlll from his Wal 5-string fretless) It sounds NOTHING like Brand X at all. I could describe it (somewhat) as Middle Eastern/Indian Industrial Techno-Funk with lots of twisted unpredictable chord progressions and broken up rhythms.

Propeller Music I liked about half of, the instrumental half that is. He had among others, Mike Clark (from Herbie's Headhunters) drumming on 2 tracks, another drummer did the rest. L Shankar was on violin along with several other NYC musicians. The thing that marred it for me was 4 very annoying vocal tracks. The rest though is pure brilliance (especially "$10,000 Bookshelf")

Any thoughts or comments on these two?
