| I can tell you, I'm probably the biggest Tool fan in the state of Texas (says alot huh? pshhh) and I'm not one of those Cogs who worships Maynard, and over analyzes the **** out of every single word he says, I normally don't even pay attention to the words, because it just sounds like someone with a dictionary trying to sound smart. I really dig Mer de Noms because of its edgy, slide guitar feel, and I can say I really liked Paz on bass, and violin. I got TTS from a friend the second day it came out and I sat down and listened to the whole cd in one sitting, and wasnt particularly impressed with any songs musically, as far as speed and skill, but it was the first time I really listened to the words and thought they were worth listening to. As far as MJK losing his touch, I think it could be in conjunction with the fact that there is a bit of fighting for "creative control" between Billy and Maynard. I read an article in some of my freetime saying that the cover art, was hated by Billy so he removed his name from all credit on the art. Also, the music style would have differed alot if Maynard had not gotten his way about it. Billy wanted a faster, Mer de Noms: Vol 2 feel about it, but Maynard got the final say. It is still a great album, I would give it 7 out of 10 stars though. wr0- Homophobic comments will not be tolerated.
