Personal data found hidden in iTunes tracks

Apparently, Apple has embedded personal information such and client's names and e-mails into music files bought from its iTunes online music store.

Full article here.

I don't own an Ipod, but I'm sure plenty of people here will be interested to know this.

Thanks for posting that. Made for very interesting reading.
Just another reason for me not to use iTunes, I prefer CD's anyway.

If you are actually buying the music, the above article is of no threat to you anyway..

Go ahead and use your iPod, just rip your CD's or buy DRM free music. Even though Apple considers this DRM free, I do not.

what's wrong with Apple doing that? They're marking recordings so that illegitimate copies can be traced....name and email address? big whoop...

now if it were SSN and Cred Card #'s...then I'd be INSENSED!...but comeone, there must be SOME way of controlling the DRS's (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels)

Go ahead and boycott apple...who cares?....heck I don't even own an IPOD...the only music I download is stuff that is public domain...there's so much out there, I can't possibly listen to it all, anyway...
