Pino - "Who Did You Think I Was"

Has anybody transcribed this line off John Mayer's live trio CD? I'm struggling to hear all of Pino's notes...but it grooves so hard that I don't want to quit just yet!

Anyone?

Pino is all about "feel"
Transcribing wouldn't do him much justice.

Thats interesting....

Aren't Jamerson, Ray Brown, Chuck Rainey, etc.... also all about "feel"... I've leared to play by transcribing them!

Well--
You can get the "notes" he plays..
But his style is pretty simple..
Where he puts the notes is what counts in my humble opinion.

So...back to the original question:

Has anyone actually gotten through transcribing this line?

Nicely done!
Pretty much a pentatonic scale in "A" with a couple "off" chords.

Like I said "FEEL"

Learn the basic blues scale and listen...You'll get it..
He is improvising through the whole thing ...bassicaly!

Everytime I've heard Pino his tone is so muddy its hard to tell one bass note from another..this would be a perfect case.

I think Steve and Pino bust the groove up a little on that track. I would prefer to hear the drums lay back a bit more with a back beat.
