Well, the band just spent a couple of days recording a demo.
This is the first studio outing I've done with this band, and I'm reasonably happy with the results...
Bass setup as follows:
F Bass BN5 with a Mac board into an Avlon U5 for the clean signal, then into an SA200 and an Eden 410XLT miked with a Shure SM57 for the room sound.
DISCLAIMER: The quality of my playing and the quality of the recording DOES NOT present an accurate portrayal of how nice this gear is capable of sounding with the right people involved!
There are two tracks featuring a Dunlop Crybaby 105Q, into and EBS Octabass and then on to my beloved Korg G5. When we play live, this combination creates a synth tone that would not be out of place emanating straight from the heart of Satan's backside. The engineer rolled off the majority of my highs, dammit! The bass is a little muddy in a few of these, actually

There's some 'clean' G5 at about 2:51 of Link #2.
Anyway, please tell me what you think, how I/we can improve, what works about our sound and what is objectionable to the ear. I'd appreciate the insights!
