| Straps:
everyone needs to raise their straps. I used to be a low slinger, back in high school, but it takes far too much effort to compensate, and it's extremely painful; especially for pick playing.
Recording:
Everyone's frequencies are bleeding into one another. The bass is coming through all right, but the guitars are muddying up things and my ear is getting lost. Everyone needs to agree on certain frequency bands, and stick with them, so that everyone has their own space in the mix.
There's something that's not sitting right with the way the drums sound. I think the drummer should re-check his mics.
the "trading of licks" just seems to run on. IMO, they should just come, one after another, without pauses.
During your bass solo, you shouldn't be shy, and throw in more notes. Additionally, perhaps you can stomp on a pedal to shape the sound, for that particular solo (thicken it up).
The vocalist needs to control his voice. Sometimes his signal starts to distort because he's shouting/too close. Also, the vocals are really gritty, which contributes to the overall muddiness. |
