Examples abound on the first 2-3 albums.

"The Bed's too big without you " mostly maintains the Reggae groove/feel throughout - but most Police songs - like those mentioned above are hybrid forms.

Main Entry: re·gat·ta
Pronunciation: ri-'gä-t&, -'ga-
Function: noun
Etymology: Italian regata
: a rowing, speedboat, or sailing race or a series of such races

I like Sting but hardly consider him under-rated as I see him mentioned constantly in these threads. I just think Stewart Copeland was the best thing about the "Police". Again I am not trying to take anything away from Sting but really listen to drums in their stuff. Stewart Copeland is amazing.

He does speed up, though.. he's like a wind-up toy in reverse. |
