Has anyone seen this show yet? Any thoughts or comments on it? It was released on the 11th. I may buy the Blu-Ray edition tomorrow.

Without overstating, it absolutely rules. Get it, get it, get it...don't even think about it.

Yeah, when I first opened mine the discs were all loose. It takes a pretty firm push to get them to stay put.

Did I mention that it rules? Even the documentary is great.

I also picked this up on Blu Ray. Excellent perfomance and set list. +1 to the packaging sucking.

I just picked this up (I saw the show in D.C. a year ago).

Great show! Sting reminded me why he is one of my bass heroes, totally anchoring down the bottom while constantly coming up with clever variations. Great, creamy tone as well.

I also like that you get the DVD and CD together rather than two separate purchases.

I have it on constant rotation on my iPod.

Part of the bassline in "Truth hits everybody" appears to be dubbed in. The sound doesn't match his fingers at one point.... besides that I think all 3 of their performances are solid! I was surprised by how bright Stings tone is, especially when he first comes in on Message in a Bottle.

That could be an editing mistake too. They might have shot multiple shows and had to use footage that wasn't from the same show.

Wow. I did not like this...at all.
I'm an old skool fan of The Police...IMO, they are better suited for something else besides a stadium/arena.

Summers' playing was good (& the hottest in the mix by my TV).
Sting's bass was 'lost' & needed to be louder.
Copeland seemed a bit too much into the backbeat thing.

I saw them live in Seattle...

I hope they got better as the tour went on. I was embarrased for them based on what I was hearing on this early stop.

I was thrilled to see them in St. Paul on 7/3/2007. It was the only chance I was ever going to get to see them. I never had the chance before. The show wouldn't have turned me into a Police fan. It was good, but my expectations were much higher. But I finally got to see them, which I never thought would happen.

I paid way too much for my ticket and it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, but given the same circumstances, even knowing how the show was going to be, I'd do it all over again.

I saw some early shows of their tour on youtube and they were not tight at all. It was embarrassing. I saw more later in that tour and they sounded much much better. Almost sounds like they didnt rehearse together that much ahead of time.

The reviews were right. The version of Wrapped around your finger is absolutely amazing on this DVD/CD, and I really like a lot of the new arrangements they have made on these classics. I hope this is not the last we will hear from the boys, because it seems like they still have a lot to offer.

I saw them pretty late in the tour (July or August?) in a shed venue outside of Boston - they were very tight. One of my favorite concerts ever.

After about 82, seeing the Police in a small venue was not really a possibility ... I saw them a few times prior and they could be a little sketchy but had an energy level that put most punks to shame. Every show I saw was a blast, sktchy or not.

I saw a few of the stadium shows. Hartford, CT, New Haven, CT, MSG, Providence - and by thattime they had the live thing down. Freaking amazing band then.

The certifiable show I suspect has been touched up a bit. It's still a real entertaining show though. If like me, you're a fan-boy it's totally worth the price of admission.

Love the Police and have this package, but the pre-recorded backing vocals were a little bit of a let down.

I think Andy and Stewart could have managed something, but seem to be lazy about it (one or both not even miming them much of the time).

Although, after hearing the fake backups on Roxanne on the Grammy openner, I was not surprised.
