Super super cheesy (especially since I found out about them through MYSPACE!), but I kind of dig them in a cheesy sort of way. The Devo influence is super obvious, which might be why I like them.

The video is also super goofy and worth a watch.

I totally love Polysics! "Coelacanth Is Android" is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. Their bassist plays one of those goofy looking Musicvox basses with a pick through SVT's. I can't tell if she uses a distortion pedal or just cranks the hell out of her SVT, but it sounds great.

BTW, after 30 years of Devo telling us that de-evolution is real and most of the world laughing in their faces, I think it's great that they were finally proved right.

She plays a Musicvox now? She used to play Yamaha SBVs, but I haven't seen them play in a year or two.

Dang, you guys are right. It is Yamaha SBV's. I could have sworn she was playing a Musicvox Spaceranger. Well, never mind.
