| Post production EQing a jazz to sound like a precision

Hey guys,
I know the title seems like a silly question, but this is the reason why I ask:
My band went into a studio to record an album a few months back. We tracked it mostly live (we're a bluesy/rootsy/rocky band). At the time I only owned a Jazz Bass and I was expecting that the studio would have a Precision Bass that I could use for certain songs, but it didn't.
So there's a couple of stomping heavy blues numbers that I recorded with my Jazz Bass: the neck pickup on 100% and the bridge pickup on 0% to give it a similar tone to a P bass.
Upon listening back to those two unmixed tracks, the bass sounds quite thin. Like a really thin P bass! But the playing is great and it sits nice with the band.
So my question is... can my tracks be EQ'd/effected to sound fairly similar to a P bass (in terms of fatness too)? Or do you think that I need to re-record my parts with a P bass to be happy? (consider that we wanted the recordings to have a live vibe to them and they were blues songs so I'm improvising a semi-walking bassline which sat quite nicely.)
I'd love to know what you guys would do in this situation. Has anyone encountered a similar problem before?
Cheers
Steve
