Wire (early Wire) is one of my favorites, so drawing a comparison there is a compliment coming from me. Kudos. |
Thanks DB. Yeah we are working on the finer details of it. We love the B-52s. We had a dude come up to us after a gig once DEMANDING that we get 2 girls in and become a B52s tribute act, LOL. I think its because we do repetitive staccato bass lines and semi-spoken vocals. Buzzcocks - yeah Pete Shelly's a god - so punk, so pop, fabulous.
As for Wire, to my shame, I know their name, but am not familiar with them. With the help of Youtube I am rectifying that deficiency in my appreciation of all things Post-punk.
On the local scene around here we are met with utter indifference, whereas second-rate ACDC sound-alikes go down a storm.
So many thanks for your kind words, it's nice to know
