I'm in.
Here is my
MySpace page. There are three former bands featured. RareForm is my San Diego band. The two song featured from the "Inspire Me" session were recorded in 1994, on a little Tascam four track cassette (the high tech of the day) in one two hour evening rehearsal. My bass was a Peavey DynaBass and played through an old 1980's but great sounding GK 115'ish something (it was a long time ago). The other two songs fro Chris Plays Guitar and Juni Moon were both recorded in Fresno's Wolf Sounds Studio. The DynaBsaa was used on the Juni song, but had been stolen by the time I was in CPG. The bass featured on this recording was a sunburst Yamaha 765 RBX, recorded through both the house amp and direct-in..
Inspire me - If you listen, during the second verse, I do this slidy bass bit. When we recorded it, I was just going with the flow, lost in the grove, and didn't realize I did it. When we played it back a week later, I'm all "what the hell, I don't remember playing that, but that sounded
cool"!
When Will the Wolf Survive - During the "Inspire Me" session we didn't have time lay down VOX for two of the four song we recorded. I don't know why, but we never got around to finishing them. A couple of years ago, I decided to record some vocals for it. The equipment I have now is of much better quality. I e.q'ed and processed the VOX to sound old and thin, like the original recording.
Party Like A Rockstar - Chris Plays Guitar. All I have to say is... What a fun band that was to play in. I'm on backing VOX.
Message Of Love - Juni Moon. Joe Luna is an amazing guitarist. This song really show off the growl of a Peavey DynaBass. I'm on backing VOX here also.
I'm going to add a few more songs to my page, probably tomorrow. Won't have much time tonight.
