This is my band Mecha Shiva and we are an all improvisational,....heavily effected (pedals and stuff) angry band.
We train wreck at times but usually it's on our way to incredibly musical moments. We are definitely a work in progress and always improving. Our most recent set is probably the one I'm the most proud of. Everything is recorded live into Abelton Live and then manipulated by our drummer/digipimp. Hope you enjoy.
This should be a sticky.
EDIT: If you don't know; SoundCloud is probably one of the best Creative Commons music file hosting sites on the net. http://soundcloud.com
If you are a casual or semi serious DIY recording artist,....a SoundCloud acct is a must.
I knew I should have done a search. Just seemed too new of a development on TB to have been talk about. My bad for not visiting TB in a couple of days (I have sort of a love hate relationship with this place,....lot's of great people,...but a lot of hot air as well,...present company excluded )
I've been cross posting this on TBOT and FB just to gather some traffic.
I am not at all well versed in the reggae sound -- at least as much as anyone living in San Diego can escape it -- but I always dig your production, you chose a quality partner to work with IMO.

Our band actually has one of the pay SoundCloud accounts (which is an excellent value IMO). We have about 5 hours worth of music on there including electro glitch stuff our drummer/digipimp does.
This is my first posting to Soundcloud. This was the first time my guitarist and I played this. It's called Prismatic Brilliance, and I had been working on parts of it for about a week, trying out my new Source Audio Multiwave Bass Distortion Pro. Also using a Boss RC-2, and Moog Bass MuRF. May have used my Groove Regulator as well, definitely the Soul Vibe. Now that my Mind Bender is back in my possession, will be using that in future most likely. It is a little long, 9 minutes.

What a great thread idea! Here's a couple of mine... I usually have my fully developed songs elsewhere on the web, and use soundcloud to host my more experimental works in progress.
First up is a funky jam built over some open 13th chords with shifting bass notes. I don't remember where I got the drum loops, bass was a MusicMan Sub5 fretless straight in, all keyboard sounds from a Nord Electro 3.
Next is a funkier piece. Main drum track is programmed (Groove Agent One in Cubase), the strummed acoustic guitar is a plugin. Keyboards (clav, organ, e. piano) are the Nord again, the bass was my Fender Jazz I believe, and the "electric" guitar was my Ibanez SG copy Little Martin acoustic through an MXR bass envelope filter direct into the board.
