Potentially great songs that never made it...

Hey folks,

Just been having a few drinks and trolling my ancient/old rehearsal recordings and realised there's a number of songs from my past that could have been great, but the band broke up, moved on, or whatever. How many of you have recordings of potential hits or simply beautiful songs that, for whatever reason, ended up a mere memory and never saw the light of day outside the rehearsal room?

Who cares about quality of playing, lets get them out there so they can get a few seconds in the sun! (In other words, some of the playing might be crap, but who cares. Copyright rules should still apply, of course, do we need to say that?

Cheers,

Evil Gus

I thought this song would make us rich:

Avolition - Untrue

Instead we broke up after a year. Whatever.

Nice work, nad, I can hear the potential, for sure!

As previously promised, check out one of mine, "Who Owns Me?" on my myspace page, www.myspace.com/evilstickplayer, for a song from my past that I think had real potential. It's very rough, as it was the first rehearsal with a new vocalist and drummer and we were trying out a totally new song. Props to Andrew Jones (guitar), Adam Wickl (drums), David McCarrick (vocals) and yours truly on bass. (All based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, at the time.) Just wasn't the right time and place to work out, dammit.

Cheers,

EG
