Probably one of my favourite songs I've heard from Larry Graham and his various bands. Puts a smile on your face too

That song used to sound so hard now I could nail it pretty easily. Oh well, I still can't do that Wooten stuff, so I'm still behind the curve.

I too can't do the wooten stuff... it is cool, but if you can groove like Larry and other peepz like him, who needs all of the flashy fast slap and pop with all of those triplets?
Peace,

Larry Graham is in a class by himself! Others have elevated the slap game to insane levels but no one (that I know of) can entertain like that! I so miss the old days of funk!
Well, Victa (w/the Wooten Bros.) entertains pretty well while playing! But nobody can top classic Larry Graham! Truly an innovator! |

Truly an innovator! | Vic can entertain, but he cannot sing worth a darn, and he cannot sing and play (that's why Anthony Wellington got his gig.) I recently got a Larry Graham boxed set, and I still think he is the slap gold standard. I mean new guys are faster, but who really wants to dance to that music?

Singing, slapping (and not just a simple slap line) & doing dance steps?? That's just frikkin' insane! |
