To pre or not to pre?

Hey
We just recorded a few songs of us in our makeshift studio (miked drum kit, miked guitar amp, (for some reason) vocals and sax through the same mic and me DI, all recorded in one take)
But the problem is, I can hear my bass cut the mix, but I don't feel the sound (while some of the guitarists low power chords CAN really be felt) My bass was turned slightly to bridge single coil while my neck humbucker was 80% turned on, I had the preamp button from the warwick amp turned off.
So, do I get more "bass" by tweaking the EQ, or is it something that has to be added while mastering?

the recordings are on http://www.myspace.com/mangokamikaze
(other recordings with the same setup but different bass(player) are on myspace.com/monkeybeatsdonkey)
