Does anyone else find the Hallucinogenetics DVD, well, a little obnoxious. First of all, it's a tad on the long side. I'm just not a huge fan of the prolonged jam breaks in the middle of every song. And it seems like every time they're ending a song, they come right back in to it. I hate it. You just get lost watching it. Claypool's amazing, but I can't imagine being there sitting through this whole show. Any thoughts? It's difficult for me to articulate my emotions from watching this, but that's the best I can do. Obnoxious. Maybe aggravating or a little frustrating. But I will say, immensely motivating.

Well, as far as the Jams, Primus has always been known to get experimental. One of the things I praise them for is connecting metal and punk rock kids with the Jam band scene, and vice versa. So the jamming didn't suprise me. And honestly, I would rather have the long DVD. If a movie is long, you can skip what you don't want to watch. But if its too short, you can't watch what isn't there. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with the above post. Its not something I watch over and over again, but still quite impressive.

I used to love primus, and I have that dvd, I quite liked it, but then again, I've only watched it once... Primus are slowly getting old to me... its all the same... it gets boring... lets face it, claypool's voice couldnt be more anoying if he tried, his bassplaying is impressive, but all the same... the drummer is great, and the guitarrist is pretty cool, but sometimes, anoying also.

like someone else already said on another topic somewhere... too much wankery.

I enjoyed it and the jamming in between.

Question one: Does anyone know for sure what EVERY single pedal Larry Lalonde is using?

Question two: Anyone else annoyed that yet again, we are robbed of a live video of Tommy the cat on DVD?

Question three: Pitty he didn't play any upright stuff, but then again my favorite upright stuff was from the Brown Album...
