Oh yes, I remember hearing it for the first time as if it were a meal ago...

It's my fav song (or at laest bass line) of all time.

Sgt. Backer I also love, and Eleven 1, 2, 3, -1, 2, 3, -1, 2, 3, -1, 2 gotta love that groove

I bet all of us here play Tommy the Cat differently.

I love that song so much the only way of expressing it is by counting all the pixles on your screen and multiplying that number by 456,7.

...urm... yes

on which Album/CD can I find the song "Greet the Sacred Cow"?

Yeah I like that song but it always kind of bothers me when a group makes reference to the time signature in the title of the song... why can't they just play it in eleven and let me notice that it's in eleven instead of saying "Hey look, we can play in eleven."

I'm bummed that they never did an updated version of Jellikit. Other than the "bastardized version" on the Airheads soundtrack. Great song.

To list a few (current) favorites:
Jellikit
Heckler
Nature Boy
Pudding Time
Dirty Drowning Man
Piltcher's Squad
Del Davis Tree Farm
Kalamazoo
...

etc

... with the exception of a few (Bob's Party Time Lounge, for example) I really like 'em all.

back on topic...

I've went to see Primus a bunch of times, and one time they were playing a club, and I managed to get past all the pit and get way up front...right in front of Les! They played 'Tommy the Cat' and I thought 'Cool...now I get to cop it!'

I saw it up close, and I still have no idea what he's doing.

It's actually not that hard. (I swear) For the most part is just getting that one repititious part down. I don't play it perfect, but with work, I'd imagine I could.

It's less baffling if you use a program to slow it down then figure it out.

They did rerecord it. It's the secret track on antipop. just fast forward through the really stupid song with tom waits. It's there at about 6:30 into the song.

I'm going to have to kill you now.

Speaking of that song, Coattails of a Dead Man.... did anyone ever notice that those lyrics could very well be about Courtney Love? I mean, I'm probably crazy...I don't know why Les would write a song about that but the lyrics fit perfectly to her after Cobain's death. Has he ever talked about what that song is referring to? Has anyone else ever come to this conclusion?
