Here is a live studio take of a little jam I've been working on with the drummer for a while. It's mainly about the drummer ripping it in odd time sigs. My electronic buddy added a few synths.
Recorded with a mic to the cab, my tone is coming almost exclusively from "the fingers."

Was digging your tone. I would've enjoyed a little more variation on your part, but that's cool.

Maybe I could have become a jazz master (with improv abilities), but instead I've focused on my niche of odd time sigs, writing, tapping, mainly for tech metal.
If you liked the jam, there is some good stuff with the same drummer for our main project, Left Brain - http://www.myspace.com/leftbrainmusic
Sample 6 is pretty melodic and tappy, Sample 1 &2 are pretty mechanical and metal.

Rock on

It's been a long run writing the material for this upcoming album- firing/replacing the drummer, firing the singer, a lot of practice, hashing things out, with infrequent (vocal-less) shows.
I like to joke that my tone is all "fingers." The latest breakthrough I've had tonewise is dialing in the best cut-through tone on the head, then running my Sansamp BDDI through the FX Loop. This kind of gives me the best of both worlds. Aside from that, I am running a clean signal (no compression).
