Proper Pitch

I have noticed as of late how many bands post recordings with the singer or band, off pitch.

When something is off pitch, people who can hear this, it is torture. I like all types of music and if your singer screams, moans or raps, as long as it's in pitch it's listenable, maybe not your cup of tea but you can give it a try.

I think anyone whom is investing money or time in recording, should take the extra effort to find someone with a good ear who can hear when things are off. That goes for instruments as well- you should retune after every take. It's amazing how something will sound good at first, then later, it becomes apparent you or you singer is out of tune.

Apparently if a part is off pitch it can be fixed on a recording, so I would be sure someone who has good pitch ears listen to it before you master anything.

I saw a band some label was pushing here in Chicago and heard their recordings (sounded good), but I saw them open for another band and the singer was out of pitch the whole night, I'm not sure how you fix that ?

You don't have to be a brilliant musician or singer, but a basic law is everyone has to be in pitch together.

Also it is better to have no singer vs one who can't sing in tune. Al least the music is listenable then.
