Here's a new song I whipped up this afternoon: Purity.

Yes, it's in 4/4. Yes, it's right at the two minute mark. Yes, I am so not prog. But at least there are no guitars on the track.

Thanks go to Matt Till for his "I make ugly sounds with my bass" sample. I stole it without his permission, so I may have to take this down quick if Matt decides to take legal action.

I'm not sure what you talking about; you mean the stuff that comes in with the distorted bass? If that's what your talking about, it's a keyboard patch I made.

I figured I'd keep this one short - for some reason it just felt like it shouldn't go on too long. I have a tendency to kill really good ideas by trying to stretch them out too much.

I dig Matt's stuff, too. He's much better than he lets on.

Hope you don't mind, but I figured I'd share my latest 2-minute ... tune (?) I made last night. It certainly doesn't merit its own thread. It's an excerpt from a Tarkake (side project of mine) number I seasoned with some heavily effected piano played by my girl on our new piano. It is even less cohesive than most Tarkake, which is really saying ... something. Anyway, guys like Matt and Blisshead are familiar with the band so ...

The "concept" was of cruising peacefully in spacetime and getting sucked unexpectedly though a wormhole. Low-fi MP3. Crank it for extra frightening effect.
