Start tapping with your Left foot... It will really improve your sound / rhythm / feel... you will be able to play more solid and not have to work so much to keep the bass quiet...

Besides that... cool

Sounding good. Keep up the practicing, you've got the makings of a really good player! One thing to work on is note duration and the length of space between the notes. Sometimes just relaxing a little and letting those notes hang on ever so slightly longer can make a big difference.

Don't worry about the forum... if mods feel it needs to be moved they will. Nothing wrong with posting vids!

This is a great place where tons of good info is passed around!

Thumbs up

It's obvious you've been practicing. Nice job.

Awesome bass line to be working on. Good choice!

You are doing well to study the work of John Deacon. He is truly one of the most underrated bassists of the modern era. One of my favorite players, and a huge influence.

BTW, I see some hater had to show up to comment on YouTube. Ignore that guy. You're getting good tone and more importantly you've got really good feel for a player so young. I've seen several bassists do this song in bar bands and you're better than any of them already.

The only thing I could offer in critique at all is, I don't think you've got that walk-in quite right after the "Ready Freddie" section. Listen to that a little more closely because I think you're playing it an octave too low or something. I normally wouldn't be that nit-picky but that's a real "signature" lick in that song so it's worth the time to get it right. (And then hope your bandmates don't walk over it like mine do). Otherwise, luvin it lots.

If I can ask, how old are you?
