Question regarding 'Kamakiriad'

Sign in to disble this ad
Just how much if any synth-bass is used on the recording.
In recent months I listened to the recording numbers of times over, there still sounds like a number of tunes have it.
It's tough to name specific tunes at this hour, and seeing that I am at work(supposedly working).
I'll have to check the liner notes later today.

Thanks..LenG

And produced! No mention of synths there - I'm sure it sounds like WB all the way through - although I remember some of the bass lines sounded pretty good!!??

I'll have a listen when I get home, but I gotta admit, I haven't really got into this album. I've only listened to it a couple of times, I think.

Question regarding 'Kamakiriad'

Moley & Bruce, many thanks...
All of the postings regarding the newest Steely Dan really got me thinking about all of their recordings: collective and/or solo.
I've never bought Becker's solo stuff, always ran into some other recordings that called my name a little more.

I thought Becker's solo, "11 Tracks of Whack", was decent. I still listen to it. There are about 5 songs on there that I really like.

Becker played bass and produced.

As far as I am concerned it is a Steely Dan album.

I wish they had hired someone else to play "Snowbound", but otherwise I love the album.

Are those the 5 with Fima Ephron on bass?

I see that Walter gives kudos to "the supreme Roger Sadowsky" in the disc's liner notes.

There was a nice pic in BP Mag earlier this year showing it!
