Questions on T.O.P Songs

Sign in to disble this ad
Can anyone tell me what the meter and time signature is on "What is Hip??" and "So very hard to go"??

I have a project to do for a music class and I dont want to sound like a pompus idiot when I have to explain the songs in technical music jargon.

Any thing else to throw in there that will wow the teach??

Thanks Guys

It's in 4/4. I'm not sure of the meter in BPM off hand.
What you can say is that it's a classic example of East Oakland funk, with the rhythm section playing a 16th note funkstyle that they were instrumental in developing . The interplay between the drums and bass, and the way they syncopate together, and the way that the horns syncopate on top, makes that style.
