rachel bolans sound on slave to the grind??

does anyone know what rachel bolan used to get that awesome sound on slave to the grind? i cant find it online...

I find it very mid'y with some crunchy treble on the top. It's genius the way he mixed his bass, a good solid low-end and some cool clanky sounds when needed, for fills or so =) He cuts through like a knife!

it was said that that record was done with a gk800rb ... but i saw two of his toured ampeg svt's for sale about a year ago in atlanta .... but for studio work it was probably the spector and 800rb ...
