Has anyone else pre-ordered it????
It was the first thing I saw on Facebook this morning, and it got me so sweaty I ripped off my sweatshirt emblazoned with a timber wolf and the word "Alaska" for no apparent reason and quickly forked over $48.00 for a two-disc vinyl set with a CD and over 625 pieces of artwork.
The artwork looks fantastic... Super trippy. I love it!
Here's a picture of my Radiohead tattoo... Amnesiac was my first Radiohead album and this was my first tattoo. Amnesiac is still my favorite album. Pyramid Song invokes emotions that no other song ever has.

I also swore to cancel anything and pay whatever necessary to see them next time they come to town. I saw Thom Yorke in Chicago with Atoms for Peace last April and it was the best show of my life. |

Still can't decide if I want to buy the super-mega-deluxe edition or not. Prices are pretty steep, especially considering they won't ship til May (yes, I know you get the digital download beforehand, but still).
The most interesting thing about this is that it isn't leaked, there is no track list and absolutely no one has any idea what it's gonna sound like. Hopefully it stays that way until Saturday. |

I know though, I love the mystery and secrecy surrounding the whole album. Especially how the deluxe version is the first "Newspaper album." What does that mean??? I hope it's more Amnesiac or In Rainbows sounding. The more ambient songs like Pyramid Song, You and Whose Army?, Nude, and Reckoner are my favorites. |

I wouldn't expect their genre to be similar to "The Rainbow" or the "The Bends". They are constantly evolving and innovating, that makes them one of my favorite, and in my opinion, one of the greatest band in history. |

The King of Limbs is the band's follow-up to 2007's In Rainbows. "It's genuinely exciting. It's very different from what we did last time," guitarist Ed O'Brien said about Radiohead's new effort during a BBC radio interview last June. "It's really nice to be doing this. It's so good to be making music with the band that you feel is still as good as it's ever been.
"We're at the finishing line," he added. "When you're making a record, a film, writing a book for ages and ages you think the finishing line is miles away. Now it feels it's in touching distance."
There has been no word on whether or not the band would take the same approach this time around, though Yorke has noted in the past that the In Rainbows experiment should be considered a "one-off."
| I got these from various VH1 articles. By "the same approach" does Ed mean sonically? Or do they mean the fact that they compiled many pre-existing songs into one album with some new songs when they did In Rainbows? Because in the last phrase it seems fairly clear that the "pay-what-you-want" part of In Rainbows was a one time deal. |

I'm in as far as the 2nd song and so far it's different but I like it. In Rainbows and Hail to the Thief rox my soxzors. This one is more bass driven than previous efforts and the record seems more cheery and more psychedelic than other efforts but the Radiohead vibe is still there.
I won't go so far as to call myself a fanboy but in recent years after a steady diet thanks to my wife RH is high up on my list of favorite bands. |

There are some "depressing" songs (everyone who is a Radiohead detractor says they don't like it cause it's depressing,...whatever).
I should clarify I downlaoded the leaked copy with the plan of paying for the .WAV package. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
