Rare recording of Larry Carlton with Neil Stubenhaus on bass!

Sign in to disble this ad
This rare recording of "Room 335"with
Larry Carlton on guitar and Neil Stubenhaus
on bass is a soundboard-recording from
My Father's Place in 1978( it's in MP3)

For those of you who don't know who
Larry is, he is one of Steely Dan's most
acclaimed studio-guitarists( his solo
on "Kid Charlemagne is regarded as
one of the best ever) and he has recorded
an extensive body of work in his own right.
As for Stubenhaus, he is a student from
Berklee and has toured with( besides Larry)
Blood, Sweat & Tears, Quincy Jones and has
been one of the most frequently hired
studio-musicians on the west coast
music-scene for more than 30 years.
Anyway, here's the recording:

It's probable that "Room 335" was
written in 1978, since it was first recorded
that year. "Peg" was written in 1977 or
before, since that's the year when
"Aja" first came out. And you're right, it
sounds a lot like "Peg".
