Hey guys, my band Murder Playground

www.myspace.com/murderplayground

(Don't mind the 'not so great' recording up on the page. Those are live recordings with their old bass player and they were all drunk.)

is recording.

I just did some bass tracks (going to redo them, I found some things I don't like on the current ones). But check em out and tell me what you think of my bass. It's only drums and bass right now, so you can hear my bass very clearly.

Cheers and Merry Christmas.

mmm nice and aggressive. It will lend itself well to more melodic playing as well. I like the tone. Post again when you get the guitars in there to listen again to see how it sits with the rest of the group.

What are you using??

As a solo tone..I find it a little harsh.

As a working tone to lay tracks over, I'd say it's right about where it should be and will sound good at mix down.

Wow, I forgot all about this thread. We're still adding guitar tracks and vocals. Our recording is taking quite a long time. I gotta redo the tracks but the tone will be pretty well the same. I'm using an Ibanez SR3005/5005(I can't remember exactly) 5 string bass tuned down half a step.

Thanks, progress has been... well, there hasn't been any progress.

We're hoping to start recording again this weekend, but we'll see. I would really like to get some decent mp3's of our stuff instead of the crap live mp3's on our myspace.
