[I just posted this follow-up to an Orange topic but wanted to share some recording clips here......]
I've recorded some bass lines through the Orange Bass cab stack 4x10 & 1x15 (as promised). I just got my bass back yesterday from having it's Out Jack replaced and whooped up some samples.
Couple setbacks: I wanted to record both cabs simultaneously with matching mics (Groove Tubes GT57's-Condensers) One of my mic clips broke for one so I had to improvise with other mics in the mix. The other setback is that while in the shop it was re-stringed. A little TOO new-string sound to me, but not bad.
So I mic'd up the cabs and played around for about 35 minutes. I chopped the samples down to about 5 minutes just trying to cover different sounds. These clips are as RAW as they get, there was no Pre or Post compression, gate, eq'ing or anything..... straight plugged in, recorded, convert to mp3, upload. I wanted to give the curious a chance to hear them with out personal taste applied.
See how they sound on your end......

Playing a Warwick Streamer LX6 ('96) / Genz Benz 1200 (FET/Tube Mix) through the Orange Bass Cabs.
...... I will do some a/b'ing with the 115 and 410 cabs and cover a full range of tones later, when I get a means to mount both Groove Tubes mics. These where pretty straight shot playing with no tweaking.
