I am looking at getting into an originals band and I just found out the guitarist(s) use 7 string guitars.
I've not listened to a lot of bands with that setup, and I think Tool and Meshuggah use 7-strings, but I wouldn't mind hearing more.
Can anyone recommend some 7-string guitarists and bands to listen to.
Any genre, I'm not fussy as I need to get my ears used to listening to that whole 7-string/5-string low B type music.
Thanks!

just checked yeah at least a few songs,...
awesome bass lines in there too
love this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbCdjrj0DYk
also can't think of any right now but im pretty sure alot of 90's metal bands got into the 7 string stuff?
I thought coal chamber did but they just play in A,E,A,D,G,B apparently... same stuff sorta :P I quite like coal chamber (loco, my frustration, clock, I, dark days, not living... just a few there)
apparently fear factory, lacuna coil and deftones as well
the number one band that came to mind was korn

I like The Glass Prison. I'll check them other tunes out.
Thanks

Im pretty sure Devildriver is B standard, but not quite sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9_nsXgtD6k <-- I Could Care Less (off the self titled DD album) |

Meshuggah use 8 strings now but played 7s before that.
