More rock oriented blues preferred, but as long as its quality other types of blues is fine. Artists, albums, songs, links to youtube videos are all helpful. Thanks.

Oh yes, Eric is the man!

I saw him open for Steve Vai and his set was amazing! Long, bluesy workout jams that were simply incredible! To top it all off, my brother caught his slide! I love Eric, his stuff is incredible.

I saw him open for Vai too. After the show, I was talking to him for a while. Very cool guy.

Get the John Mayer Trio's "Try" CD. Some awesome rock / blues covers with some top "pocket" bass playing by Pino Palladino.

Robben Ford & The Blue Line.

I just picked up a Muddy Waters' album called Electric Mud...psychedelic versions of some Muddy Waters' tunes; Pete Cosey on guitar.

I always found that album kinda funny. Muddy Waters, himself, is said to have not liked it very much, comparing the guitar parts to wet cats yowling or something along those lines.

Howlin' Wolf got sucked into that psychadelic thing the record company wanted done... he called his record, "This is Howlin' Wolf's new record... He doesn't like it."
