We've all seen the "recommend me some [metal, country, opera, etc.]" threads; it's high time we start a "recommend some complete crap" thread.
I've come to the conclusion that there are not enough bands that I truly despise. Yes, I HATE Phish. Yes, I HATE Kenny G. Yes, I HATE Trivium. Yes, I HATE Creed. Yet, I ask myself, "Is this enough? Is it possible that more bands deserve my ire?" There must be thousands of bands that I would dislike - I would like to know who they are. So, I ask of you: recommend some music that sucks. Recommend some music that I shouldn't waste my time with. Perhaps this could serve as a cautionary device for us, so that we aren't led astay by hype, clever marketing, or a really neat album cover. It just very well might save one of us $14.99 + tax at our local record store.
Help me out. What music should I try my best to avoid? |

In other words, anything on the radio! |

This woman is doing an impression of the famous (and truly terrible) Florence Foster Jenkins
This impression is VERY close, but I encourage you to download some actual FFJ to see just how horrible she really was...
Google her too, funny biography as to how she got so famous that it was harder to get a ticket for her, than the World Series...she also sold out Madison Square Gardens with a lineup around the block.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Finland | | Music that I avoid listening to:
- Most metal, at least black and death metal
- Techno, trance etc. - e.g. Scooter
- Most (programmed) europop (90's - now) - booring and no groove at all
- A finnish band called Eläkeläiset - quite funny actually (finnish "humppa" versions of all kinds of famous songs). Simply terrible!!! ...but popular in Germany, I've heard... Try http://youtube.com/watch?v=-MkDN0Qo0...elated&search= or http://youtube.com/watch?v=r9YyaknVx_o
- Other boring music like overproduced Joe Cocker albums
- Most so-called smooth jazz
- Traditional finnish tango and humppa
- Swedish dance music like the band "Vikingarna".
And one "artist" that I really hate with all my heart:
- Marilyn Manson
